A greenhouse is a structure made of transparent materials (glass, plastic sheets, or polycarbonate) that traps sunlight and creates a warm environment for growing plants.
Sunlight enters through the transparent walls/roof.
The heat gets trapped inside.
This makes the inside warmer than the outside.
As a result, plants can grow even in cold or harsh weather.
This is called the greenhouse effect.
